New Zealand-based Xero, which offers accounting software for small businesses, agrees to acquire payments software company Melio in a $2.5B+ cash-and-stock deal  —  Australia-listed Xero (XRO.AX) said on Wednesday it would buy U.S.-headquartered fintech firm Melio for an upfront consideration of $2.5 billion.
