At the Cisco AI Summit, Intel CEO Lip-Bu Tan says the company plans to build GPUs and has already hired a chief GPU architect  —  Intel (INTC.O) CEO Lip-Bu Tan on Tuesday said the company plans to build graphics processing units (GPUs), the category of chip popularized by Nvidia (NVDA.O).
