Boston Dynamics and Toyota Research Institute have developed a large behavior model that enables more natural movement and “emergent skills” in humanoid robots — Atlas, Boston Dynamics' dancing humanoid, can now use a single model for walking and grasping—a significant step toward general-purpose robot algorithms.
